Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: July 2026
Welcome to RentCroo PH! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the RentCroo PH platform, including our website and mobile application. By registering an account and using the platform, you agree to comply with these terms.
💼 Are you a Lessor or Business Owner?
Comprehensive legal terms governing inventory owners, BIR Form 2303 Certificate of Registration tax requirements, commercial service fees, and platform payouts are detailed in the official Lessor Master Services Agreement.
1. Introduction to the Platform
RentCroo PH operates as an online marketplace connecting individuals and businesses who have items to rent ("Lessors" or "Owners") with individuals and businesses seeking to rent those items ("Renters"). RentCroo PH provides the technology platform, payment processing integration, and dispute resolution framework to facilitate transactions between users.
2. User Accounts and Verification
To use the platform, you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the Philippines. You are required to provide accurate and verifiable information during registration. RentCroo PH reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or fail required identity and account-verification measures.
3. Renting Rules and Responsibilities
For Renters
- You agree to treat rented items with care and use them only for their intended, lawful purpose.
- You must return the item on or before the agreed-upon return time. Late returns may be subject to additional fees as specified in the listing terms.
- You are responsible for any damage, loss, or unauthorized modification of the item during the rental period. Applicable security deposits or protection fees may be applied toward substantiated claims.
For Lessors (Owners)
- You must accurately describe the item's condition and provide operational, safe equipment.
- You are responsible for making the item available for handover at the agreed location and time.
- You must complete the required inspection procedures within the designated inspection period following return to report any eligible damage or loss claims.
4. Handover and Return Protocols
RentCroo may require users to complete prescribed booking, handover, return, inspection, payment, settlement, and claims procedures through the Platform:
- Handover Procedures: Users may be required to complete specified possession-confirmation and transaction-documentation procedures before a rental is considered formally handed over.
- Return Procedures: Users must complete the return and inspection documentation procedures specified by the Platform upon conclusion of the rental.
- Inspection Period: Following return of the item, the Lessor has a designated 24-hour inspection window to examine the item and file a claim if damage or issues are identified. If no eligible claim is filed within that period, the transaction proceeds to completion and applicable security deposits are released in accordance with RentCroo's settlement procedures.
5. Payments and Security Deposits
All rental payments must be processed securely through RentCroo's designated payment channels and partners. Conducting transactions outside the platform is strictly prohibited and voids all platform dispute resolution services and protections.
Security Deposits: Where applicable, a security deposit safeguard is held upon booking confirmation. It is released back to the Renter following the conclusion of the inspection period, provided no substantiated claims have been filed.
6. Claims and Dispute Resolution
An eligible claim must be submitted within the applicable inspection or claims period specified by RentCroo. If a claim is filed, applicable deposits and payouts may be held pending review. RentCroo administrators review the submitted transaction records and documented condition evidence from both parties to render a fair determination under platform policies.
7. Limitation of Liability
While RentCroo facilitates trust through verification and structured transaction documentation, users acknowledge that items are rented directly between Lessors and Renters. RentCroo does not guarantee the continuous availability, condition, or suitability of items listed by third parties. To the extent permitted by law, RentCroo shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of rented items.
